The model is 100% scratch built, made out of chestnut wood, custom made, 1-of- a-kind…  
The scale of this ship is 1/96 so it would be 168’ long x 42’wide, and draws 21’ of water.  The model is 27” long x 12” wide, and 25” high mid-ship.  And 5 different deck levels, plank-on-frame construction.  Total work hours on the model, 1,175, and about 10,000 pieces.  About 61’ of rigging.

Guild Work: Shows the guild work on the starboard backside of the ship.

Quarter view: All the windows and lanterns are see through, they have plastic in them to resemble glass.

Forcastle Deck: Shows a close up of the forcastle deck, the camera is focused in on the bitts, you can see the figure heads on them. Shows the steps to the cat head, and where the fore mast will go.

Captain on Board: Captain standing next to the helm looking through a telescope.

Quarter View: The richly guilded stern resembles the Louis Quinze (1692) version.  300+ hours of guild work.  Still in work progress, paint touch-ups and rigging.

Main Chain Plate: Shows the gold rings around the gun ports.  The gun ports measure 3'x3' square, this is the starboard side.

Capstan: The camera is focused on the capstan. You can see the individual deck planks.

The Rudder: Shows the rudder and hinges, the rudder on this ship would be about 20' long.

CLOSE-UP: Shows some of the deck details, the man on the quarter deck stands about 5'7" tall, he has a wooden peg leg, he is holding a cain in one hand and a telescope in the other hand. This shows three different deck levels, poop deck, quarter deck, and the lower deck which is the spar deck, it would be 42' wide.

Bow View Looking Up: Shows the rich color of the wood, stained with early american to bring out the rich look. Bulkheads are 5' on center.

经常看到这种风格的模型，不追求细致工整，但却别有一番写意的味道，不得不承认是精品，不知道这种风格叫什么风

是金碧辉煌印象派。。。。雕刻跟油漆很夺目。。。其他零件不精细，很粗枝大叶。。。不过那个材料汗颜啊。。。也算古董木头了。。。150年的旧谷仓木板：这是栗木的旧谷仓木板，这艘船就是用它制作的。
