Thanks to Markus Leber(Smaug)& Holger Baethies for this fantastic album of Texel Diorama .Texel is the largest Dutch island in the North of Holland. The sea in the South of Texel is not very rough. So sometimes this area was used by the Dutch fleet as basis. The Diorama shows different events around the year 1665. It doesn't show one certain event. There are Dutch warships, flute ships and smaller fishing boats. The Diorama has a length of 18 meters and a breadth of 4 meters. It consists of more than 70 ships and 4000 figures. The company Artitec constructed the Diorama in a scale of 1:87. The Diorama is located in the "Maritiem & Jutters Museum" in the Dutch village Oudenschild on Texel.
